Triumph at the supercharged car's world premiere
Daimler-Motor-Gesellschaft (DMG) was the world's first motor manufacturer to enter a car with supercharged engine in motor sport. In the 1992 "Targa Florio" on the island of Sicily, company driver Max Sailer took First place in the category of touring cars with displace­ments above 4.5 litres. He achieved his winning time of 7 hours, 12 minutes and 8 seconds driving a 7.2 litre-six-cylinder 28/95 model with an output of 140 hp.
