FIA award for E 320 CDI world record drive: Monaco - The FIA has rewarded Mercedes-Benz for its unique achievement in the record 100,000 mile drive earlier this year. On 9th December, 2005, Dr. Michael Krämer, Head of Development for the C-Class, CLS-Class and E-Class models at the Mercedes Car Group, accepted the award from FIA President Max Mosley, giving credit to the young team of 30 drivers who took part in the record drive in Laredo, Texas with three standard model E 320 CDI vehicles.
