Erwin Grupp was a master at Daimler-Benz AG racing division and was at best familiar with racing cars. That is why there is no surprise that he was chosen for the season 1952 as a co-driver on a legendary MB 300 by Hermann Lang, Europe champion of the year 1939. Grupp´s greatest success was the second place at Carrera Panamericana in mexico.
