Model series 409

The 409 series was in production from 1996-1998, with a total of 790 units in 2 model variants. The small, compact implement carrier featured various technical innovations such as the Vario-Pilot transferable steering. Following a decision to concentrate on the core business with the heavy-duty Unimog model series, the vehicle and the production facilities were ceded to the Hako group in 1998 and continued to be produced under the name Kommobil until the end of 2002.
