    The Mannheim plant starts series production of the L 3000 A all-wheel-drive 3-tonne truck. In April 1941 the rear-wheel-drive L 3000 S also goes into production in Mannheim and Gaggenau. From June 1941, production at the Mannheim plant concentrates on these two models.
