- Description:
At the International Automobile and Motorcycle Show in Berlin, Daimler-Benz presents the 150 (W 30) rear-engined sports car with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. This innovative Sports Roadster had been developed on the basis of the 1.5-litre Sports Saloon, which successfully negotiated the "2,000-Kilometres Across Germany" endurance race in 1934. With the engine fitted in front of the rear axle, the 150 would nowadays be classed as a mid-engined car. In the commercial vehicle sector the L 6500 heavy-duty truck, the Lo 2600 bus and the Lo 3100 high-speed bus with streamlined body in a cab-over-engine version make their debut.
