The third Herkomer competition, held in 1907, comprised six one-day stages from Dresden via Eisenach, Mannheim, Lindau, Munich and Augsburg to Frankfurt, covering a total of 1818 kilometres. Edgar Ladenburg again won the overall classification, but this time as the owner of a Benz driven by Fritz Erle. With his second victory, Ladenburg was the final winner of the Herkomer Prize.
Overall winner: Erle in a 50 hp Benz. Final winner of the Herkomer challenge trophy.
