- Description: The Benz & Cie. Board of Management commissions an initial test series for pre-chamber diesel engines. The two-cylinder four-stroke engines produce 25 hp / 18 kW at 800 rpm and are fitted into three Benz-Sendling S 6 motorised ploughs. Testing is so successful that on 6 March 1923 the decision is taken to produce a series of 100 units.
