Daimler-Benz develops aeroengines

The Reich Ministry of Aviation commissions Daimler-Benz to develop and manufacture aeroengines. In November a new plant is set up for this purpose in two former leather factories in Backnang, north of Stuttgart. In January 1943 the company concentrates engine development at this site.
