S-Class-Saloon, restraint systems - W/V 221 - Thanks to a combination of preventive Brake Assist Plus with PRE-SAFE®, as of 2005, the S-Class offers a worldwide unique safety system that is able to detect critical situations prior to an impending collision and introduce measures as of 2005. To begin with, PRE-SAFE equips a vehicle with reflexes. For instance, in the event of danger the front seat belts can be tensioned, the side windows and the sunroof can be closed and the front passenger’s seating position can be adapted.
