E 320 Estate, E 320 CDI Estate - S 211
Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate, model series 211, from 2003 onwards. DIRECT CONTROL ensured even more agile handling thanks to more direct steering, modified spring link bushings at the front axle, rebound buffer springs at the rear axle and a single-rod gearshift in the 6-speed manual transmission (standard equipment). The well-proven multi-link independent rear suspension was largely of aluminium. The four-link front suspension with suspension struts and gas-filled shock absorbers provided the ideal conditions for agility, safety and comfort, and AIRMATIC DC (Dual Control, semi-active air suspension) was available on request.
