A "190 Twin" A-Class study

    The 184 kW / 250 hp" A 190 Twin" A-Class study, fitted with twin 1.9-litre engines, is unveiled at the motorsport end-of-season party at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Mika Häkkinen and David Coulthard are presented with the sporty A-Class cars as a company car.

Mercedes-Benz A 190 Twin (also commonly known as the A 38 AMG), model series 168, 1998. 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in 5-spoke design with 225/35 R 18 tyres, front brakes from E 55 AMG, model series 210. On the occasion of the end-of-season party at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim/Germany on 13 November 1999, the 184 kW/250 hp A-Class study with two 1.9-litre engines and all-wheel drive was presented. The second engine, which could be switched off, was located under the boot. Mika Häkkinen, Formula 1 world champion in 1998 and 1999, and David Coulthard, Formula 1 racing driver and runner-up in 2001, each received one of these models as a company car. The photo shows the car assigned to Häkkinen.
