Under the terms of an agreement between the two companies, DaimlerChrysler appoints Rolf Eckrodt as the new Chief Operating Officer at Mitsubishi Motors. DaimlerChrysler AG obtains the right, after a period of three years, to increase without limits the 34 % holding in Mitsubishi it is set to acquire in October.
