Hybrid regular-service bus goes into production in Japan

Mitsubishi Fuso introduces the Aero Non-step HEV Hybrid Bus to the Japanese market. This first series-produced hybrid regular service bus in Japan combines a diesel engine with an electric motor and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery. Fuel consumption is 40 % less than that of a comparable diesel-engined bus.
