Born in Lemberg (now Lviv/Ukraine) in Austria, Zatuszek, a trained car mechanic and businessman, emigrated to Argentina in 1921 and acquired some wealth in Buenos Aires. Against this background, he became involved in a large number of racing events in his adopted country in 1927 and 1928 in the Mercedes-Benz Model K, then from 1929 onwards in the SSK.

The list of his successes is long and includes victories in the Grand Prix of Cordoba and the Campeonato Cordoba in 1929, 1930, 1936 and 1937, the 12-hour race of Buenos Aires in 1928, the Spring Prize of Argentina in 1930, the Grand National Prize of Argentina in 1931, the Autumn Prize of Argentina in 1931 and 1932 and the 500-mile race of Argentina, the 200-mile race of Tucuman and the Premio Emilio Saint Cicuito Parque in 1935.

Two years later, the Argentinian by choice was killed in an accident during training for the Cavilia Grand Prix. The fact that Zatuszek liked to consume large quantities of beer during any pit stops is part of Argentine motorsport folklore.
