Combined heat and power plant in Ludwigsfelde

A new combined heat and power plant was officially taken into operation at the Mercedes-Benz van plant in Ludwigsfelde. Ludwigsfelde was the first location in the Daimler van division to plan and realise such a power plant. On-site energy generation and local consumption allowed CO₂ savings of around 2,250 t per year to be achieved, corresponding to the annual CO₂ production of more than 200 people in Germany.
