Jean Alesi

This Frenchman from Montfavet near Avignon, who comes from a Sicilian family, was part of the Formula 1 inventory, as it were, between 1989 and 2001. He started in 201 Grand Prix races, but won only one, the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on 11 June 1995, his 31st birthday.

A few weeks after his retirement from Grand Prix racing, Alesi signed a contract as a DTM driver, where he would compete for Mercedes-Benz from 2002 onwards. His engagement ended with the finale of the 2006 season. Alesi achieved a total of four victories during this time: at Donington in 2002 and 2003, at the DTM finale of the same year and at Hockenheim in 2005.
